Berrien County Sheriff Chuck Heit, Treasurer Shelly Weich and Drain Commissioner Christopher Quattrin will all face competition in the Aug. 6 primary election.

The deadline to file for election was this week. The primary election is partisan, so the person with the most votes in each party, Democrat or Republican, will move on to the November general election.
